I’m on 500 daily and on weekends I take my Hydrea twice a day. Once in the morning and one at night. If your taking two tablets try and split them. Take your aspirin in the morning.

Yes , for sure. I was suffering with terrible headaches and brain fog big time. But , that seems of subsided. I’m not quite sure why he put me on 1000mg as he told me I would be on the lowest dose.The pathology report was suspicious for the pre PV phase. Because he could not find certain results and suggested another Bone Marrow at a later date. I’m good now on the meds. Thank goodness, it was a rough few weeks . Having bloodwork every 2 weeks.

I do not know, but if the RDW is the only thing out of range, you are tolerating HU ok with none of the side effects, then Based on my experience when I took HU he may leave things be or perhaps even reduce the HU dose to 500 to see what happens; but, whatever is his calll.

Good morning, they are now within normal range since starting the meds. Yes I take 1000mg of Hydrea and 81 mg aspirin daily. So I am assuming that the hematologist will leave things as they are.

My RDW is never in normal range; nothing has ever been said about that one. What does your hematocrit and hemoglobin look like?
