I've gotten used to tiring easily, the bone and muscle aches are not fun either. Then there's the sleep problems and, the biggie, was losing all my teeth from either ET or the hydroxyurea. The chemo adds a whole new dimension! I've learned to live with the ups and downs and found life hacks around most of the issues. You have to stay strong and be determined not to let the MPN beat you.
In my previous post I forgot to mention the three most important things. God prayer and the healing power of Jesus.
I had ET for 20 years and didn’t even think about it. Then diagnosed with mf almost 2 years ago due to fatigue and other symptoms. Now it seems I plan most of my life around it. Never know when I won’t “feel up to” something. Or be too tired. Don’t seem to enjoy things like I used to either. But I’m 66 so is it age or mf?
I think it improve my life. I'm exercising more eating better and all my vitals are
pretty steady. I started taking jakafi in 2012 it eliminated all the symptoms of the disease in me
I am fortunate that it hasn't impacted my life much. The only real change I noticed is I usually need a nap in the afternoon, I try to get things done in the morning when I have more energy. I'm still able to exercise as much as I did before and I'm still able to be the full-time caregiver for my husband. Best of luck to everyone
