There are some Nutritional videos on YouTube that address your question. Sodas are bad because of the very high sugar content and other chemicals, but DIET soda is REALLY BAD due to the aspartame and acesulfame. It interferes with the microbiome in your gut, among other things. If you care about your health and nutrition, try to cut way back on sugar and high fructose corn syrups, and especially stay away from "artficial" sweeteners. Stevia is good for sweetening drinks.
