Hi Team, over in NZ we are rolling out covid vaccinations. Is it safe with PV to have it, I guess I am more at risk if I do not get it. I have now stabilized my blood readings back into the normal range, so it is probably good timing. Thanks
I’ve had my 2 Pfizer shots and just received the booster. My drs encouraged me to take vaccine. They said I had greater risk of clotting if I became ill with Covid and no known risk of clotting from the vaccine. I’m so glad I did. No issues- just a sore arm.
I have PV 8 years, got my Philzer vaccine in February and was also dealing with elevated platelets (750) but had no problems and my oncologist increased my Hydroxyurea.
You do what’s right for you and stay safe❤️ I have essential thrombocythemia and 2 lung nodules. I will not get the COVID vaccine due to clotting and I just don’t know enough about it! So I’ll wait and see what happens with everyone else in my family that did get it!
Had mine and the booster with no problems. Everyone is different but drink plenty of water and take two Tylenol that helped me with the soreness I felt other than that in my opinion it’s better to be safe than sorry.
I had no antibodies after 2 shots. Dr said I would only have them if I had Covid.
