Jakifi for PMF diagnosis has worked well to shrink my spleen, but I do know that different folks react differently to it.

Hi Carl;
I was on Jakafi for close to 2 years. I got off because I felt it might be causing some brain damage and/or PML. Had a brain MRI but as there was no base to compare the MRI results to, there was no way to know if Jakafi might be causing a problem. While I was on it I did notice organizational confusion and memory issues but what 78 year old man doesn't have some of those.
Thanks for responding. Good luck!!

I have PMF. Been on Jakafi 10mg 2x per day for two months. It has been effective in reducing the size of my spleen with almost no side effects.

Thanks Jen; Were the side effects permanent?
