I was never a big drinker but I do like a cold beer especially when the weather gets warm. Since alcohol lowers platelets I now have an excuse to have a few more. One of the perks of having ET! LOL

Everything in moderation is okay.

I have a vineyard and we make wine, so yes we have wine daily. No more than a few ounces an evening. I've had an MPN ( First Et and then MF) for nearly 20 years and have No adverse effects on the MPN. I take 40mls of Jakafi daily. Enjoy it; our time is shorter than others.

I have a glass or two of wine or maybe one mixed drink once or twice a month when we go to a nice restaurant. MPN specialist says that’s totally fine. I’ve never had a complication because of it.

I have continued since diagnosis to drink alcohol 🍷 mainly wine, the occasional gin and tonic , or a cold beer on a hot day. Goes well with salty chippies hehe. Probably three to four times a week and only one glass around dinner time. Makes no difference whether I drink or not to my ET. I actually enjoy it, so great for my mental health .
