Does it have an odor
I keep getting yeast infections in my skin folds. Do not if from ET or antibiotics used for chronic UTIs. I started using Kindra & it helps somewhat with the dryness & itching.
I had this before I was diagnosed with ET. My G.I. doctor and Gyno doctor said it was not a yeast infection but perhaps an allergic reaction. Nothing I did helped it get better. It was really horrible. The G.I. doctor told me that I was using wipes too much and that I should just rinse off with water and not use soap or anything. Well, I dismissed that. At some point it went away. About six months after I was diagnosed with ET, I began having G.I. problems. I was finally, after weeks and weeks of diarrhea diagnosed with microscopic colitis. I used wipes 15-20 wipes a day continually during this time, and never had an issue with Itching and burning. So I think that the ET was causing this itching and burning. I asked my oncologist about it, if anybody had ever complained about that and she said that she knew of none. But for me, since I’ve had ET and have been taking Hydrea - My hair is bad. My skin is awful and my fingernails are ridged and brittle. I was diagnosed in May 2020, by accident when donating platelets at the Red Cross. I used to give platelets years ago and my count was always high around 450,000, but no one ever said anything not even my primary doctor. I’ve had the reddish purple feet for 15 years I think, as well as my hands. My platelet count is normal now by taking 500 mg of Hydrea three days a week. I also take 81 mg of aspirin twice a day. I don’t quite understand exactly how this should be affecting me since my platelets are normal. I have bouts of headaches And complete fatigue for a day or two and then it’s gone. I don’t think they really know what we can expect from this. Do you have any knowledge that you have learned?
