Is There Recommended Amounts Of Iron To Take?

Was told my Magnesium and iron levels were low. I was told to take 400mg daily Magnesium, but have Not received any Information about the iron. I have ET jak2 positive, take hydrea 1000mg daily since April 2022.

I took 18mg of chelated iron for 3 months a while back bc Hematologist said to and it started to make my red blood cell count too high, so I stopped.

I think this answer will depend on the individual. I’d ask your doctor and see what they say, then do your own research because sometimes doctors are wrong.
