Has Anyone Had Heavier, Longer Periods? I Think It’s Bc Of The ET. Or Partly Bc Of It.

A myMPNteam Member asked a question 💭

It started 3-5 years ago. I’m also 44 so Gyno, and TCM Dr. said they think bc my age.

But it’s logical to think both are responsible. Your thoughts??

This may sound strange or TMI (can you do direct messages on here!), but for me the difference is that it is more sporadic i.e. days sometimes light, sometimes heavier days, but before it used to be more constant if that makes sense. It is not longer in term of number of days for me though. I have wondered about this since ET affects your blood flow through higher platelets so naturally would think this should be affected too. I am about the same age as you so it could be due to that as well, but I do notice a different. Was always reliant on the 18-hr products and a strange feeling that is not the case anymore! Thank you for asking this question.

Hi, thanks for your comment. It’s hard to tell for sure bc of both ET, and being in pre-menopausal age. I still think it’s both.
