I had a Vit D test as I convinced myself I would be deficient as Hu means I cannot go in the sun, but found out I had very good levels of vit D!
However, I have found high dose vit B12 to be very useful for Hu side effects, and my specilaist approved it which surprised me alittle. Best to have all the checks doen and then supplement at will!

While these supplements show promise for PV management, specific dosage recommendations aren't provided in the search results. More importantly, it's crucial to consult with your healthcare provider before starting any supplements, as they need to be carefully evaluated alongside your current PV treatment plan.

72% of MPN patients use supplements, but they should never replace prescribed PV treatments. Your doctor needs to review any supplements to ensure they're safe for your specific situation. Each of these supplements has shown different potential benefits for PV:

- N-acetylcysteine (NAC): May help prevent blood clots
- Omega-3: Could lower risk of blood clots and heart disease
- Vitamin D: May help reduce excess red blood cell production
- Curcumin: Shows potential to block JAK/STAT pathway and reduce excess blood cell production

However, some supplements can interact with PV treatments or affect blood cell production. Always get medical clearance before starting any supplement regimen.
