It may depend on other factors and varies slightly in different countries. Age and gender are also factors, but yes 0.53 is alittle high and needs attention. It isn't a worrying figure but should not be left unaddressed for too long. My Hct is very often in the 0.48 to 5.1 range but other levels are good and no symptoms from the mpn - my symptoms are more by way of side effects from Hu. And aspirin is your friend at all times.
