@A myMPNteam Member I had to have a cornea transplant on my right eye 18 months ago. I have been followed closely by a very proficient ophthalmologist for years, mostly for advancing dry eye syndrome, have had PV for seven years, with increased symptoms. Guess no one knows if there is any correlation with an MPN and age-related findings; the doctor will only say, "Who knows?" Entirely understandable because MPNs are incurable and poorly understood, and our treatment is weighed most heavily on the USUAL symptoms and lab results. When something like vision issues are added to the mix, your guess is as good as mine, OR your doctor who cannot offer a cause either.
Yes, I do hope you saw someone about the vision changes. When I had these suddenly, I actually had had a small stroke on my brain stem.
Have you seen someone about if you have, have you discussed treatment options?
Can MPN treatment help reverse vision changes that occurred before diagnosis?
Vision changes from MPNs can sometimes improve with treatment, though outcomes vary. When vision problems stem from blood-related issues like high platelet counts or circulation problems, treating the underlying MPN may help manage these Show Full Answer
