I take D3 but after reading about K2, I wouldn’t add it without talking to my hemotologist first. I would want to discuss my clotting risk vs the benefits of taking it. I don’t need to counteract the benefits of my blood thinner by adding something that helps clot my blood.

Is a vitamin K2 and D3 combination beneficial or safe for people with polycythemia vera (PV)?
Vitamin D3 has shown some promise for PV patients. Research suggests that around two-thirds of people with PV have a vitamin D deficiency, and because vitamin D can influence blood cell growth, scientists are exploring its potential to help reduce excess red blood cell (RBC) production.
That said, there are no clinical trials specifically studying vitamin D3 in PV patients yet, so it's not a replacement for standard treatments. As for vitamin K2 specifically, there is currently no research available linking it to benefits or risks for PV patients.
It's worth noting that some supplements can actually be harmful for PV patients, particularly those that may encourage RBC production. Always check with your doctor before starting any new supplement, including a K2/D3 combination, to make sure it's safe alongside your current treatment plan.
