I take so many supplements that I just have a printed list for my doctor. Anyone taking Hydroxyurea should also be taking folic acid or the better form metylfolate (B9) as a prophylactic to avoid macrocytosis. I just take a B-Complex. I also take a generic Benadryl before bed to control itching. D3 and Zinc were added when Covid started. NAC was added after I read an article claiming it greatly extended the life of rats with ET, works better than aspirin, also helpful with Covid. Just a note: Not Vaxed been around Covid patients and still Covid free.
Breakfast:
81mg aspirin
Super B-Complex
100mg Ubiquinol (mega CoQ10)
120mg Ginkgo Biloba
100mcg (4,000 IU) Vitamin D3
1000mg Tumeric with Curcumin C3 Complex
15mg Zinc with 1mg Copper
Dinner:
1000mg Hydroxyurea
1 Multivitamin/Mineral Supplement
600 mg N-Acetyl Cysteine
120mg Ginkgo Biloba
1000mg Tumeric with Curcumin C3 Complex
500mg Magnesium Oxide
Bed:
50mg Diphenhydramine HCL

I am SO happy to see others providing a LIST of supplements - I was starting to think I was crazy! I take Co-Q-10, B 12, D3, iron, fish oil, and baby aspirin. When I started on hydroxyurea, I was told to take Vit C to help with iron absorption, but I stopped taking it when my labs showed my anemia had resolved. I take Biotin every few days due to potential hair thinning, but that may just be because of aging! My hair stylist says I still have plenty of hair!

I take D3 and zinc for immune support. On the advice of my hematologist, I take nothing with B12. I have more than enough red blood cells! I also take a low dose aspirin daily. I also take Jakafi.

Hi. This is Teri in Oklahoma. I have recently seen an Ayurvedic holistic doctor. He has got me using herbal remedies. One is tailored for the blood. Another is support for the liver and spleen. Last one is neurological to calm me. It is fascinating and designed to your specific body constitution. I am high energy all the time and when not in balance become spacey, irritable, agitated and more! The diet designed for me is really working great in setting my body in balance. It has only been a couple weeks but wonderful results so far. He has worked with blood disorders also. Degrees in western medicine also. Working with your unique body type is amazing! Great info on Joyful elly.com. Take the quiz. It's free and about 30 minutes. It covers everything about your body and helps you to understand deficiencies. It takes about 30 minutes. I wish all doctors would talk with us about this stuff!! Hope this helps!

I take B12, a multi vitamin and ashwaganda in the morning and a magnesium tab at bedtime. The magnesium helps me sleep and helps muscle pain. Ashwaganda helps with stress.
