I am 33 years old and recently diagnosed with essential thrombocythemia in September 2022 shocked and confused with life . I am on meds like aspirin and Hydroxyurea from oct as my blood platelets were over 9.88lac now its lowered in last test done few days ago. I wanted ask how you guys are handling this situation and will I go through Chemo as well. I have no clue but my mind never stop thinking.

Hydroxyurea is a type of chemo. Have been on it since 5/2021. Platelets down from 1600 to normal range now. It does bother my digestion but digestive enzymes help. Articles on this site have been very helpful!
After What Value Of Platelets The Tratament With Aspirin Is Replaced By Chemotherapy Or Other Types Of Treatment In ET?
For An Initial Treatment Start, Did Anyone Forgo Hydroxyurea For Another Treatment Just Because They Didn't Like The Side Effects Possible.
