What’s The One Thing That's Helped You Most With Fatigue?
After 12 years of PV, I realized with my fatigue just to take it easier on my slow ,tired days and be grateful for the energetic days! Keep in mind my tired days usually follow an energetic day where I have pushed myself! 74 & female.
I had memory fog, fatigue and bone pain. I also have ET. My doctor had me on aspirin. I felt they were ignoring my main issues especially pain. So, I went to Cornell University in NY (I live in Texas) for a 2nd opinion. Although not a label use for ET. My doctor suggested Jakafi starting at 5 mg twice a day and increase if tolerated. Bottom line: although not 💯 I would say 98% improved in all areas. I finally seem normal again. And I never increased the dose
Sleep, sleep and then I sleep some more. Unfortunately, there are times it gets me down because I feel I am sleeping my life away. Flip side is the gratitude that sleep does help and allows me to get some things accomplished. I’ve always been a busy person and slowing down this much is hard.
Started taking naps, well actually my body just sort of passes out. I have to fight it when im on the train, which is very hard.
I know everyone is going to hate this answer but exercise. Sure it's hard at first but if you keep at it your stamina increases and your body gets stronger. Plus it helps with !anxiety and depression that can come with the diagnoses and all the weird and very real symptoms!
