I have been on Besremi for 6 months. WBC and platelets normalized after about 90 days but my RBC actually went up. I made almost 90 without a phlebotomy but then it seems to stop working and I needed a phlebotomy after 26 days. I did not have any negative side effects but i guess I didn’t see any benefits either so the next step for me is to increase the dosage.

Even though Besremi has not done much for me I still believe it offers the best choice for a normal life for most and it is exciting to hear how well it works for most people with PV.

Yes I understand it can cause depression so far for me I was ok during the trial period and now I hope it will be ok!
I have only had one dose but it has slightly lowered my values so I’m
happy 😃

Was on hydra but side affects were becoming an issue and my numbers continued to rise. Been on Besremi since Jan 23 and I feel much better. Just reduced injections to once a month at max dose . So far so good Highly recommend so long as your insurance covers it. Very expensive drug

Oh wow great news!Thank you for answering I didn’t think it could work so fast!
I was on the clinical trial 4 years ago and my blood work was great too but it took a while for it all to settle.
Just started on it again because blood was going nuts again🤣

I do feel rotten the day after the injection though usually very tired with flu like symptoms and a headache!
You are super lucky no side effects that’s what I strive for🤗
I have organized the injection for every other Friday so that the effects come on the weekend.
Do you have the shot in the morning or at night?
Maybe that makes a difference?
Sending you over a big hug 🤗
