I have tried herbal medicines but they just make me feel worse, I think they probably don't mix well with the other tablets I take. Everyone should really get advice before taking any herbal medicine.

I take Hydroxyurea for ET. I was taking magnesium for more energy but stopped it when found out it is a laxative that was contributing to the disgusting diarrhea side effect I had this year when HU was increased. I am taking Turmeric right now with consent of internist, gastroenterologist and oncologist. It has no bad side effects for me and it may help with inflammation. Plus somewhere on this site I read it may help reduce platelets.
Adding this at a later date: I have taken a garlic pill and a ginger pill every morning for years. Several doctors have reviewed my regular supplements since I started having ET treated in 2022. None have seen a problem with garlic or ginger, but they are on the list in the article. I'll continue with them as I believe garlic helps with immunity and ginger with soothing of stomach.

I found herbal remedies take too long to work and sometimes they can't be mixed with chemical ones at all.
