Hi, Searcher. Jakafi took 6 months to kick in The weight I have gained is secondary compared to the lessening of pain.

I was on Jakavi for 6 months and gained 5kg. Now it is difficult to lose it.

Thank you so much, Alyce. Palliative Care is not Hospice. It's to treat the whole me. I worked in both. Already the pain has considerably lessened, and I have more energy, as I have started an OTC pain relief: 1,000 mgs. 3x a day. ❤️

I've been on JAKAFI since September 2023. I also made a decision with my husband to receive palliative care outpatient. That should help me so much. Thanks for asking, Steve.
