Robert, thanks for clarifying - I had read somewhere that B12 can increase hematacrit so was afraid to continue taking my multivitamin but will now continue to do so and will ask to have my B12 levels checked.

Good, near high. Range 211 -911. No one told me to stop supplementing any thing but Iron supplements.
However, I found a statement, with polycythemia vera can have an increased prevalence of vitamin B12 deficiency despite high serum vitamin B12 levels.

Robert, is 757 a good or bad reading?

I asked for mine (B12) to be checked 3 weeks ago 2/13, this just after 2 weekly phlebotomies. It was 757. I take B-12 Complex. I also take my sup's with sum vitamin K foods/fruits.

Thanks so much for weighing in on this topic, MH and Mel! I have also had stomach surgery (I actually found out that I had an MPN when I developed a clot in my intestines) so this information is especially significant for me. I will push to have testing for B12 now.
