I agree mostly with the guidelines. Beans, berries, and leafy green have too many health benefits to skip. However, if you can't clear oxolates, it would be excellent advice. Based on my guy microbiome report I do have the proper microbes to deal with oxalates, but not everyone does.

@A myMPNteam Member plant based diets have been able to help with diabetes which can be low protein and fit both criteria. The treatment for diabetes before insulin was an oatmeal diet. Do some research before attempting it though.

Thank you, Mary Ann. Sometimes, I tie myself into a pretzel trying to figure this all out (e.g., Diabetes => eat protein and fact, but avoid carbs. Chronic kidney disease => eat minimal amounts of protein and fact, but load up on carbs. What to do?).
