How common is it to have ET and PV Jak2?

A myMPNteam Member asked a question 💭
Alakanuk, AK

I was diagnosed with ETJak2 in 2021. I am 69 years old. I take 500 mg of hydroxyurea daily. My doctor thinks now that I may have PV. My hemocrit number keeps going up.

Yes unfortunately you can have both. They need to do a blood test with radioactive particles. I have had it a long time ago.

I’m not sure if this is correct but I’m reading more patients dx with Polycythemiavera than of ET ? Does that mean ET is progressing?
