Although they start you at 100ml usually, sometimes I’m now hearing on here it can be 50.

And although many Docs will tell you you need to increase it you don’t.

If you’re on starting dose and no side effects I’d stay there rather than risk side effects and other issues.

Interferons while a massive Blessing are/can be very hard on the organs and body.

Tell them you are choosing to do the “low and slow” approach bc you get side effects usually from meds and you appreciate their input but you’re not increasing the dose and have no need to (unless you happen to have a dire emergency and need to lower levels faster.)

I tried Besremi as soon as it was available, and it made my itching worse, much worse. I've never heard of anyone else having this problem. No other side effects, and I didn't mind giving myself the shot. I had taken Pegasys before but switched to Jakafi when my insurance approved it. I would really have liked to stay on Besremi because the interferons are supposed to decrease the allele burden.

I am considering Besremi and I will heed your veery sound advice.

Have been on Besremi for 6 months now starting on 50 and now up to 150ml. It’s not been very effective on my RBC but i just found out i should have also been having phlebotomies along side the treatment. Conflicting views between my specialist and haematologist leave me uncertain of whether to continue with Besremi. Side effects i have experienced are dry eyes, dry mouth, night sweats, some increased anxiety and gum soreness. All tolerable so im not going to complain!

Well they start you with low dose of 50ml every two weeks until you reach 500ml every two weeks. the only issue I have encountered is a flare up of my psoriasis they have prescribed tremfia hopefully that will clear it up
