Its a sensation which I had never experienced before. I honestly think the induced anxiety is a major contributor to the experience. I only had a local anesthesia and my wife held my hand. As already stated it was more pressure than pain. I do recall taking a mental note at that time. I would opt for sedation if required again. I'm a big baby and wouldn't want to hurt my wife's hand again 😬😂. Honestly, its not bad, you get through it.

Glad to read you're giving it consideration. As I wrote previously it is very important to get your baseline and detail what inflicts you.

I was taking hydroxyurea years ago, but it made me incredibly ill and miserable. I asked my Haematologist for Ruxolitnib and she said No.! So, I just stopped taking the Hydroxyurea.
she was horrified to hear what I had done, but send me a script. It has been so much better.
I have a different Haematologist now. It doesn’t stop my bone pain or nose bleeds.. but the nausea, itching and headaches have gone. Maybe give it a try. It’s “your” body.

I had one last week. I had one days notice. It wasn’t too bad. I was calm and brave so glad its over. Had bit aching when the pain infection wore off. But now wonder what results come back. I’m trying to change my hydroxy to another treatment. I’ve had art Calr 6 years now. So checking for bone scaring and not sure how it all works. I’ll let you know results hope they okay.

I have had it done with mild sedation and local. The shots of lidocaine hurt but my recovery was the same.
