Covid booster vs full shot

I have PV and am on Hydrea. My hematologist has recommended a third full dose of Moderna since Hydreain his words is an immunosuppressant. An MPN specialist however just told me all that is needed is a booster of Moderna. Have any of you gotten this differing of opinions?

Yes. I did end up going for the 3 full doses of Moderna.

My RDW is always high, because my iron stores in bone marrow were depleted. Once started on iron it is a little better plus my MCV returned to normal.

Yes. Pfizer booster and vaccine are the same. Moderna booster on the other hand is a half dose. I am so torn about which doctor's opinion I should listen to !
