Blood Cancer United is the new name for what used to be the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The name was changed because that nonprofit organization has free info for many types of blood cancers, including MPN's, and not only for leukemia and lymphoma. I greatly appreciate what I have learned on this mpn website but also use info from Blood Cancer United. Does myMPNteam recommend checking what Blood Cancer United has to offer, for people with time and energy to do that?

Is today MPN Awareness Day? Great question! September is actually Blood Cancer Awareness Month, which was officially established by the U.S. Congress back in 2010. So the whole month of September is dedicated to raising awareness — not just one day!

This is a great time to help the people around you better understand what living with an MPN is really like. Here are a few ways to get involved:
- Share your story with friends, family, or colleagues
- Use social media with hashtags like #MyeloproliferativeNeoplasms to reach more people
- Participate in fundraising events like walks, runs, or auctions
- Donate to organizations like the MPN Research Foundation to support ongoing research
Raising awareness helps loved ones understand how to support you — and reminds others with MPNs that they're not alone. 💙
